I.
Context
In this interior design project in Mijas Costa, we completely transformed an apartment to create a warm, functional space connected with nature. The owners were looking for a contemporary home with a strong presence of natural materials, especially wood, and a design that enhanced the spaciousness of the interiors and the integration with the terrace. The result is a serene yet elegant apartment.
II.
Design
The interior design proposal focused on the use of light woods, natural fibers, and neutral tones, combined with simple-lined furniture that enhances visual spaciousness. Biophilia was present throughout the process: the living room was designed with rattan pieces and handcrafted details, the dining room incorporates a fiber lamp that provides lightness and movement, and the work corner was resolved with a minimalist style that favors concentration. On the terrace, an authentic oasis was created with a careful selection of tropical plants, succulents, and hanging species, reinforcing biophilic patterns such as the presence of vegetation, the visual connection with nature, and sensory richness.

Synthesis
The result is an apartment that combines contemporary design and natural essence. The integration of organic materials, abundant vegetation, and the continuity between interior and exterior make this project an example of how biophilic design can also be applied in more modest contexts. A space to enjoy the home, the landscape, and a life more connected with nature.
