I.
Context
In Jesolo, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, we were presented with a completely empty terrace: a blank canvas without plants or furniture that called out for transformation. The challenge was to design a landscaping project that integrated nature, water, and lounge areas within a single architectural statement. The solution was the creation of a multifunctional central planter that serves as a garden bed, a bench, and a water feature, becoming the green heart of the terrace. This project, completed years ago in collaboration with Esterni d’Autore, sought to provide identity and soul to a space that, until then, was bare.

Design
The centerpiece is a Punica granatum (Pomegranate), accompanied by Hemerocallis, Agapanthus, Sedum, Salvias, and ornamental grasses that provide color and movement throughout the year. Water flows as the central element of serenity, while planters featuring Bambusa nigra and Nerium oleander frame the space, enveloping it in intimacy and seamlessly integrating it with the sea views.

Synthesis
In this way, what was once a void was transformed into a contemporary seaside terrace, meticulously designed for relaxation, contemplation, and a deep connection with nature. The freshness of the water, the rhythmic movement of the plants, and the shade of the tree do more than just beautify the space—they invite a sense of calm, rest, and the opportunity to reconnect with oneself.
