I.
Context
Situated in the prestigious natural enclave of La Zagaleta, this villa of over 750 m² has been completely transformed into a high-value contemporary residence. Every space has been conceived through a harmonious balance of functionality, well-being, and a deep connection with nature.

Open Plan
The interior layout was completely reimagined, replacing old partitions with an open-plan concept that seamlessly connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas. Two former courtyards adjacent to the living room were integrated into the built area, expanding the main living space and enhancing the sense of openness.
The selection of noble materials—wood, natural stone, and organic textiles—paired with a soft color palette, fosters an atmosphere of profound serenity. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the influx of natural light and reinforce the visual connection with the breathtaking natural surroundings.

Bedrooms & bathrooms
The spatial reconfiguration optimized the residence, allowing for an additional bedroom to reach a total of six in the main house. Each features its own en-suite bathroom and was designed with a unique, original approach, offering views of the surroundings and materials that radiate warmth. The completely renovated bathrooms were conceived as spaces that blend luxury with daily well-being, incorporating stone-effect finishes, strategic lighting, and design solutions that perfectly balance aesthetics and functionality.

Soulful Spaces
The project also included a full redistribution of the service and leisure areas. We designed an independent game room, a new pantry, a laundry zone, and a renovated garage. The garage, in particular, was approached with a blend of aesthetic and practical considerations that have turned it into one of the residence's standout features. Additionally, a self-contained staff apartment was created, complete with its own kitchen, bathroom, and living area, ensuring seamless functionality and comfort throughout the entire estate.
VI.
Gym & wellness area
One of the project’s most significant opportunities was the integration of a previously hidden, open-plan basement, which added 100 m² of additional living space. This new area houses a wellness suite featuring a sauna, Turkish bath, gym, and full bathroom. The space was designed not only as a functional asset but as an intervention aligned with contemporary trends that prioritize holistic health and sensory experiences within the home environment.

Synthesis
Far from being merely a renovation intended to increase real estate competitiveness, this project stands as a statement of principles: design as a tool for emotional, physical, and perceptive health. Through the conscious application of biophilic design patterns, we have achieved a balance between spatial efficiency, formal beauty, and well-being—responding to new ways of living with purpose.
